PROFILE
BURJ Foundation is an independent, voluntary, and non-political charitable organisation which has been dedicated to the poor localities around Pakistan since 2014. The aim of BF is to alleviate poverty through the provision of practical assistance to those who are most in need in the areas of Hunger Relief, Education and Public Assistance. We work towards materializing our motto, “Where there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness.” BF is designed to provide a diverse set of solutions for the prosperity of society as a whole. Our BURJ team consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds with notable academic and professional experience. With innovative ideas and sincere concern for the underprivileged, BF is bound to deliver a service which is unique, beginning from its core philosophy, to its way of presentation, to its dynamic results and accomplishments.
WHO WE ARE ?
Burj Foundation is Pakistan’s Non-profit organization for low income households which was created with the aim to alleviate poverty by providing a suite of high quality affordable Financial and non Financial services to low income households, especially women, in order to build their capacity and enhance their economic role. Even though Burj began its journey as a microfinance institution, In future it provides a one window solution to its clients for protecting and managing their Social Development and enhancing their productivity and resources. Burj Foundation was started in 12-Jan-2012 as an action research program, and over the course of its evolution, Burj has been able to help hundreds of thousands low-income households, especially women to lead lives of dignity through economic empowerment via financial access. Burj products and services are especially designed keeping in view the clients’ business and life-cycle needs.
WHAT WE DO ?
Burj Foundation was the first specialized Finance program in Pakistan established in 12-Jan-2012 to specifically target women from low income communities, The organization focuses on enhancing the role that women can play in improving the economic status of their families by building their entrepreneurship skills through access to Business loans & Food Facilities, improving their financial management skills by delivering financial education trainings and reducing family level contingencies by providing insurance services.
